The military level talks will begin at 11am at Chushul. The main focus will be on the disengagement at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The commander level talks between the Indian and Chinese Army had have arrived at a mutual consensus to "disengage" from all friction points in eastern Ladakh sector after the marathon meeting of top military commanders of the two sides on June 22.
India has deployed air defence systems in the eastern Ladakh region, people close to this development said.
The air defence systems in the Indian Military include Akash, Israeli made SpyDer and the Russian made Pechora. ADS is a system, weapon, or technology involved in the detection, tracking, interception, and destruction of attacking missiles, helicopters, fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Also, Indian Forces have been put up on high alert and have been asked to maintain a strict vigil on the Chinese activities around the border, airspace and important sea lanes.
It may be recalled that Indian Army lost 20 brave men, including a Colonel, during the hand-to-hand combat with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley on the intervening night of June 15 and 16. The clash took place on the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control
