New Delhi: The office of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has rubbished the claim that India will hold a meeting with its counterpart China who is also attending tomorrow's Victory Day parade in Moscow.

This clarification from the MoD comes after a Chinese media Global Times reported that Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe will attend Russia's Victory Day parade in Moscow on Wednesday, and likely hold a meeting with his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh over resolving border tensions.

Defence Minister is currently in Moscow to attend the Victory Parade on June 24, 2020 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War.

During the visit, India will urge Russia to fast-track delivery of S-400 Triumf Missile system during Defence Minister's Rajnath Singh 3 day visit to Moscow amidst the escalating tensions at the LAC.

As per sources, Russia has delayed the delivery of $5.4 billion dollar system to December 2021 as a result of constrains due to the global Covid19 pandemic.

"The visit to #Russia will give me an opportunity to hold talks on ways to further deepen the #India-#Russia defence and strategic partnership" the Defence Minister tweeted before leaving for Russia
